Shri Raghunath ji Temple – Dedicated to 5th C. Lord Vishnu Idol
Shri Raghunath ji Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located near Nakki Lake. During the visit to the temple area, I had talks with Kavi Ji to learn The History of the Shri Raghunath Ji temple. He guided us to meet one of the most learned person Shri Avdhesh Das Ji Ramayani during aarti at 7:30 pm. As it was afternoon hours, we requested for a meeting. Permission was granted. We had meeting. Knowledge was enhanced.
1468 was the year when Swami Ramanand Ji – Guru of Kabir Das Ji installed the 5th century Lord Vishnu idol nearby Hanuman temple.
About the idol, there are different-different legends. Some say it was discovered from Nakki Lake, some say it was found with Bheel but nothing is with proof so we should leave that discussion. But yes, the idol was discovered this is true.
Later the idol was installed nearby Champa gufa (cave). 68 years back Shri Raghunath Ji temple was constructed and the idol was placed inside the temple.
Shri Avdhesh Das Ji Ramayani also enhanced our knowledge about four types of pursharthas – Dharma, Artha, Kama, Mokshya, eight types of prakriti, Shankaracharya saying – Brahma Satya, Jagat Mithya.
Thank you – said I.
Prayers.

Auto Fare from Tapovan, Rishikesh to Haridwar Railway Station?
Vikram Stand, Muni-Ki-Reti, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand
I had to catch an early morning train from Haridwar Railway Station. During early winter morning, there is less possibility of sharing Vikram (tempo/auto) availability. One day before I had talks with an auto owner for the next day’s early morning service. The next day early morning the tempo was at service and from Tapovan, Rishikesh to Haridwar Railway Station I paid Rs. 400 as auto fare.
I remember a few years back I was paying Rs. 300 but then the tempo owner said nowadays the cost of fuel is not the same as earlier. I agree.
Though I booked the entire auto from Tapovan, Rishikesh to Haridwar Railway Station but if I see any passenger on the way waving hands I request the auto driver to please allow two or three passengers to share the auto space and that money also goes to the driver.
Update
Recently I paid Rs. 450 upon the request from the auto owner. Fuel for sure is getting costly these days.
