This place on the holy banks of Alaknanda, under Bhu Vaikunta Badrika, has been famous by the name Jampala for centuries. Jampala, from this place, the dead creature gets God’s abode after living free from the care of Yama. At this place, by donating a bed for Sutak and immersing his bone urn, people in relation to Mulak travel to Satopanth for ascension.

About: Bhim Pul
Mahabali (One with great strength) Bhim Sen had built a bridge by lifting a huge stone to cross the Sarasvati River at this place while moving towards the ascension. Pandavas had moved forward after crossing this bridge. Since then this moment became famous as Bhimpul.
