How I Reached Chhoti/Mini Qutb Minar?

Chhoti/Mini Qutb Minar, Hastsal Village, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, IndiaI reached Uttam Nagar East Metro Station and enquired about Hastsal village.

After walking for approx. 500 meters, I reached Hastsal Road.

E-Rickshaw was available for Rs. 10 per person for Hastsal village.

After reaching Hastsal village, I followed Google Maps and reached the destination.

The only missing subject – Nothing written about the history of Chhoti/Mini Qutb Minar.

Clean Shave/Massage in Delhi – How much I Paid?

I have always used Gillette Shaving Foam for clean shave but this time in Daryaganj, Delhi the barber applied Brooks Shaving Foam.

And the charges are Rs. 30/- only.

Next, for the head, shoulder, and back massage via hands, I paid – Rs 30.

How much for a haircut? – I question.

Rs. 50/- only

Yes, the barbershop was non-ac having only 2 people seating arrangement.

Another day, I visited a barbershop, almost opposite Zostel (backpacker hostel) at Arakashan Road, Paharganj in New Delhi.

Again non-ac with 2 people seating arrangement and for Clean Shave via Gillette Shaving Foam, I paid Rs. 50/-.

If I compare it with Mumbai Suburban, I pay in Mumbai in an air-conditioned shop (with 4 people seating arrangement) for Gillette Shaving Foam, Clean Shave – Rs. 80/- And for the head, shoulder, and back massage via hands – Rs. 150.

For haircuts, I pay in Mumbai – Rs. 100/-.

Delhi is not expensive?

Have You Ever Tried Roadside Ear Wax Cleaning?

Have You Ever Tried Roadside Ear Wax Cleaning?

Once at Palika Bazar Park, Connaught Place, New Delhi, my mom had roadside ear wax cleaning.

And the result – lots of wax removed. But honestly speaking, I have never tried this roadside service though it is an age-old service in India.

You will find it anywhere on the streets of India.

In the picture is Shravan from Uttar Pradesh – a roadside ear wax cleaner for the past 18 years.

Both ears wax removal – The charges – Rs. 20 only/-

Maybe someday I will try too roadside ear wax cleaning.

Coffee Home – Budget Friendly Café under the Giant Shaded Banyan Tree

Coffee Home – Budget Friendly Café under the Giant Shaded Banyan Tree

Giant Banyan Tree at Coffee Home (Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi, India)My Delhi/local friend suggested visiting Coffee Home operated by DTTDC (Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation) if I am at Pracheen Hanuman Mandir (Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place) because it is oppositely located.

He suggested sitting under the giant shaded Banyan tree at the backside of the Coffee Home.

After visiting Pracheen Hanuman Mandir and having tea at Netaji Chai Wale and then Urad Dal Kachori at Shri Hanuman Kachori (all within the temple area), I decided to visit Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib via bus No. 73 (bus fare – Rs. 5) from outside of Connaught Place Police Station (under the tree) next to Pracheen Hanuman Mandir.

After visiting Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib and having langar (community kitchen which serves free meals), I decided to visit Coffee Home.

Again bus No. 73 from Rakab Ganj Gurdwara bus stop for Pracheen Hanuman Mandir.

Bus fare – Rs. 5/- only.

Within minutes I reached.

The moment I was about to enter the Coffee Home, I read – Official work and laptops are not allowed here.

Timings: 11 am – 7 pm

Coffee Home has a large space. The hall is fully-packed and has an open area under the giant shaded Banyan tree.

I decide to have a seat under the giant shaded Banyan tree. Always better than concrete walls.

I read the menu which is vegetarian.

Beverages, South Indian, and Fast Food.

And the rate is budget-friendly.

As my stomach was full, I requested Filter Coffee – Rs. 50/- only.

Self-serving cafe. Nothing fancy.

I with my Filter Coffee towards the giant shaded Banyan tree because the hall was a little noisy.

How was the Filter Coffee?

OK OK, but what I like the most was the ambiance around the giant shaded Banyan tree.

I suggest: If you want a great natural experience at the heart of the famous Connaught Place/New Delhi, visit this hidden budget cafe to sit, chat and have food/snacks under the giant shaded Banyan tree.

Highly recommended at least once if you are touring Connaught Place/New Delhi.

If I am correct, the nearest metro station for Coffee Home is Rajiv Chowk.
