I took bus No. 73 from outside of Connaught Place Police Station (under the tree) next to Pracheen Hanuman Mandir for Rs. 5 to reach the Rakab Ganj Gurdwara bus stop.
Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib is nearby the bus stop.

Visited Pracheen Hanuman Mandir – one of the oldest/ancient Hanuman temples since Mahabharata days at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
Forgot to tell you that before visiting Bhola Vaishno Tea Stall, popularly known as Netaji ki Chai ki Dukan for tea, I visited Anil Kachori Wala popularly known as Shri Hanuman Kachori, situated near the Pracheen Hanuman temple.
Who doesn’t like Piping Hot, Crispy, Spicy, Urad Dal (pulses) Kachori along with unlimited Aloo Sabzi (potato curry)?
Urad Dal Kachori is one of my favorite snacks/street food.
Shri Hanuman Kachori is famous for its Urad Dal Kachoris.
Read about it and must say after having Urad Dal Kachori, I can say wholeheartedly that it is worth all the hype.
Shri Hanuman Kachori is a 50-55-year-old shop superhit among devotees visiting Pracheen Hanuman Mandir.
Timings: 7 am – 8 pm (due to the current pandemic). Otherwise, 7 am till 11 pm (7 days open).
One single Urad Dal Kachori with unlimited Aloo Sabzi for Rs. 25/- only.
They also sell Bread Pakora (25 Rs – 1), Samosa (25 Rs – 1), Paneer Bread Pakora (30 Rs – 1), Bedmi Puri (25 Rs – 1), and all with unlimited Aloo Sabzi along with green chili pickle and additional aromatic Masala (spices) to be sprinkled upon.
All I can say – it was a delight to have Urad Dal Kachori (with Aloo Subzi) after the darshan of Lord Hanuman.
Drooling – The experience at Anil Kachori Wala (Shri Hanuman Kachori).
Bhola Vaishno Tea Stall (Netaji Chai Wale), popularly known as Netaji ki Chai ki Dukan, is situated between Mohan Singh Place and Pracheen Hanuman Mandir, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
I decided to visit.
The best thing about Netaji ki Chai ki Dukan is that it still serves tea in Kulhad (clay pot teacup).
Nowadays, it’s rare, especially in bigger cities/towns, to have tea in Kulhad.
As per my experience, tea served in Kulhad enhances the taste of tea and also benefits the potter (कुम्हार) business.
Bhola Vaishno Tea Stall (Netaji ki Chai ki Dukan) is 28 years old.
Timings: 5:30 am – 8:00 pm (Due to the current pandemic situation). Otherwise, 5:30 am till 12 in the night. (7 days open).
Bigger Clay Pot Tea costs Rs. 30 and Smaller – Rs. 15.
I had a smaller which was definitely better than a plastic/disposable teacup.
Must-visit tea stall, especially if you wish to have tea in a clay pot. Paytm accepted.
Sita Ram Diwan Chand – a specialist in Channa Bhatura since 1950 situated at Chuna Mandi, Paharganj, New Delhi.
It is opposite approx. 1 km (via main bazaar Paharganj) from New Delhi Railway Station and also near to RK Ashram Marg metro station. You may hire an E-Rickshaw for Rs. 10 from the entrance of the main bazaar Paharganj and drop nearby Imperial Cinema (now-shut-down) or you may walk from RK Ashram Marg metro station to reach Imperial Cinema.
Sita Ram Diwan Chand is almost opposite Imperial Cinema next to Hotel Chanakya.
Very popular prime location.
Timings: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm (7 days open).
Google reviews – more than 11,000. Enough reason to visit for breakfast in Paharganj, New Delhi.
I had two lip-smacking Channa Bhaturas (Rs. 70) with onions, yummy pickles, and tangy green chilies.
And also had Sweet Lassi for Rs. 40/-.
Pocket-friendly, isn’t it?
Combined with the lassi, the breakfast is truly satisfying.
There are many street food joints/restaurants/cycle men that serve Channa Bhature in Delhi, but Sita Ram Diwan Chand at Paharganj is now one of my favourites. Legendary, iconic restaurant.
Note: There are no seating arrangements. One has to stand to have scrumptious Channa Bhature. And service is fast.
I can whole-heartedly say – Sita Ram Diwan Chand is one of the best street food restaurants in Delhi.
Not to forget to watch/read food quotes neatly framed inside the restaurant.
People Who Love to Eat Are Always The Best People.
You Are What You Eat.
Keep Calm and Eat Chole Bhature.
Good Food equals Good Mood.
There is No Love Sincerer than The Love of Food.
No matter which part of the world you are from, if you are touring Delhi, you must visit Sita Ram Diwan Chand at Chuna Mandi, Paharganj, New Delhi specially for a delicious breakfast with sweet lassi.
Kake-Da-Hotel is situated at 67, Municipal Market, Connaught Circus, New Delhi. Not far from New Delhi railway station – approx. 1 km. Very prime location and a very famous one of the oldest restaurants in Delhi.
The visit was pending for years especially when I used to stay in Delhi and had no money to visit such restaurants no matter how much the craving was for North-Indian mouth-watering food.
Finally, in 2021, I visited Kake-Da-Hotel having more than 12,000 Google reviews.
Kake-Da-Hotel was founded by Late Shri Amolak Ram Chopra in the year 1931 at Mall Road, Lahore (now in Pakistan).
Veg./Non-Veg. food cooked over charcoal in brass utensils (in front of the hotel) and in Desi Ghee – The USP.
Around the hotel, you will see many framed certificates from burrp (best chicken curry – 2009), HTCITY AWARDS 2007, foodtourindelhi.com (non-veg. curry), mouthshut.com, and a few more…
You will also see framed – The Great Khali photograph.
One must visit at least once for an experience if present in around Connaught Place.
They have no branch outside Connaught Place – proudly mentioned.
If you are non-veg. then there are plenty of options to choose from.
Incredible.
Timings: 12:30 Noon – 10:00 pm (Due to the current pandemic situation). Otherwise, open till late in the night and 7 days.
Downstairs and Upstairs – two sitting areas. I opted for the upstairs which if I remember correctly is air-conditioned.
Please note: Kake-Da-Hotel is not fancy but somewhat like a Dhaba if not Hotel and is busy/crowded always. Be prepared for a long waiting time till finally, you get a table.
Reasonable price. Be sure, you will lick your fingers.
Kake-Da-Hotel – recommended at least once.
