Taj Lake Palace – Built by Maharana Jagat Singh II in 1754

Taj Lake Palace, Lake Pichola, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

The Taj Lake Palace is situated on the Jagniwas Island in the middle of the Lake Pichola. The island is about an acre and half in size and was built by Maharana Jagat Singh II in 1754. It used to be pleasure palace for the royal family in summers and has now been turned into a heritage hotel.
