A local guide upon the query enhanced knowledge about a particular tree – the Khair tree. The bark of a Khair tree he said is boiled into the water to prepare the paste known as Kattha.
FYI: Kattha is a red color paste used as an ingredient with paan (betel leaf) many of us know but what is the source at least I was not aware till I visited Talwas (53 km from Bundi) to tour Ajitgarh fort (constructed by Rao Raja Ajit Singh).
