Jaipur Railway Station to Zostel (to-and-fro) – How much I Paid to E-Rickshaw?

Jaipur Railway Station – The train 22933 BDTS JP SFAST reached Jaipur (from Mumbai) on time.

Now the question was – How to reach Zostel? – a backpacker hostel situated at Chandi ki Taksal near Hawa Mahal.

Though there was a pre-paid booth for an auto outside the Jaipur Railway Station building but no one was present there.

I walk towards a policeman and requested him to guide me – How to reach Chandi ki Taksal (Zostel) from Jaipur Railway Station?

He suggested walking out of Entry Gate (right side), crossing the road and you will find many E-Rickshaw for Chandi ki Taksal.

I followed his advice.

There were many E-Rickshaw parked there but for Chandi ki Taksal the price they were saying was not convincing. I waited for a few minutes and kept on asking for the fare. Finally, an E-Rickshaw was ready to move for only Rs. 50 (including luggage). Yes, during the journey he picked up a few other passengers too but still, it was a comfortable ride as well as cheap.

After spending a few days in Jaipur, while returning I was unable to find E-Rickshaw from Chandi ki Taksal (Zostel) for Jaipur Railway Station.

I hired a shared E-Rickshaw till Badi Chaupad for Rs. 5 (including luggage).

At Badi Chaupad, I bargained with another E-Rickshaw and finally, I (solo) was on the way for Rs. 40 only (including luggage).

Travel time from Zostel (Chandi ki Taksal) till Jaipur Railway Station was 40 minutes due to traffic in the evening hours.

Thus, I travel to Zostel from Jaipur Railway Station (to-and-fro) while spending a total of Rs. 95 only.

Sawai Madhopur – The train had a halt. I was traveling via 22933 BDTS JP SFAST (Mumbai to Jaipur).

During the conversation about Ranthambore National Park (Tiger Reserve) at Sawai Madhopur, one of the travelers enhanced my knowledge.

Other than Ranthambore National Park (Tiger Reserve), Sawai Madhopur is also famous for Guava (अमरूद) and Chauth Mata Mandir.

Though I have visited Ranthambore National Park (Tiger Reserve) a few times, but yet to visit Chauth Mata Mandir, said I.

Thanks to the friendly traveler for enhancing my knowledge. Chauth Mata Mandir is a 571-year-old temple having 700 steps to reach.

The next tour to Sawai Madhopur will visit Chauth Mata Mandir for sure – said I.

Clean Shave in Daund City – How much I paid?

I was coming from Kumbhargaon (Bhigwan Bird Sanctuary).

I reached Daund City a little early to catch my train 11302 UDYAN EXPRESS to Mumbai.

Scheduled Departure: 14:35.

I had almost 1 hour. I decided to clean-shave.

There were two options at the salon.

  1. Vi-John shaving cream
  2. Dettol shaving cream

Though I always use Gillette shaving foam but this time I decided to try Vi-John shaving cream.

And the result is smooth & safe. Fantastic job by the barber.

How much do I pay?

Rs. 50 for a clean shave with Vi-John shaving cream. Dettol shaving cream is also the same price.

What is the price for a clean shave with Gillette shaving foam? I question.

Rs. 70 – the barber enhanced my knowledge.

Anyway, Rs. 50 paid and I went towards the Daund railway station to catch the train to Mumbai.
