27,250 was the odometer reading when I replaced the rear tyre and tube of the Royal Enfield Thunderbird Twinspark. No risk on the road. Already, I have driven 2,490 km since the first rear tyre tube puncture.
They say 35,000 – 40,000 km odometer reading is the correct time to replace tyres and tubes for a motorbike, no matter front or rear, but as I carry two luggage, the life of the rear tyre and tube is less for sure and already was with a puncture.
3.50-19 is the tyre tube size, and MRF is the preference. The old tyre and tube were also of MRF. As the MRF tube was not available and was out of stock at the dealer’s shop, Andheri-Kurla Road, Mumbai, I had to purchase the Mypol tube and the MRF Tyre.
How much does it cost? The question – correct?
The Total Cost for the rear tyre (Rs. 1955) and tube (Rs. 245) I paid was Rs. 2,200 (including taxes).
And what about the condition of the front tyre and tube?
They are fine to date.
