Mango - State Tree of Maharashtra

The Mango is native to India from where it spread all over the world. It is also the most cultivated fruit of the tropical world. Mango is a national fruit of India, Pakistan and the Philippines. In several cultures, its fruit and leaves are ritually used as floral decorations at weddings, public celebrations and religious ceremonies. There is a tremendous genetic as well as morphological diversity in mangoes growing in the wilderness of India.
