I travelled by the Asangaon local train (Slow) from Dadar railway station, Platform No. 8 (Central Line), to Platform No. 1 at Mumbra railway station. It was 49 minutes journey by local train with 13 stops.
After reaching Mumbra railway station, I walked towards Platform No. 4, exited towards the main road, took a right turn, crossed the road, and walked approx. 100 meters to reach the arch gate situated on the left-hand side, written Aai Mumbra Devi Praveshdwar.
One has to walk straight after entering the arch gate till reaching the steps to climb to reach the highway.
After climbing a few steps, I saw a subway under the highway to cross to reach the steps for Mumbra Devi Temple situated at Parsik Hill.
The steps were steep. The number of steep steps is 850, as per Santosh ji, the 5th-generation priest of Mumbra Devi Temple.
2 o’clock, I started the journey from Mumbra railway station, and at 3 o’clock, I reached Mumbra Devi Temple.
Yes, one hour journey from Mumbra railway station because I stopped and took a few minutes’ rest a few times while climbing the steep steps.
Total journey time from Dadar railway station to Mumbra Devi Temple was 1 hour and 49 minutes.
While coming down, I took 15 minutes from Mumbra Devi Temple to reach Mumbra railway station.
FYI – Mumbra Devi Temple timings: 6 am to 8 pm.
