We started our journey from Gurdwara Sri Sant Ghat Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi at 2:00 pm in a cousin’s brother’s friend’s car.

2:30 pm we drive via Kapurthala city.

At 2:45 am we reached Jalandhar city.

3:15 pm we stopped at Haveli – No. 1 Highway Restaurant at Jalandhar – Phagwara Highway, Grand Trunk Rd, Jalandhar.

We three had Chole Bhature (Rs. 130), Pav Bhaji (Rs. 115), Dahi Bhalla (Rs. 100), and Lassi (Rs. 90).

3:50 pm we re-started our journey for Ludhiana city.

(Ludhiana city is 50 km from Haveli restaurant)

4:40 pm we reached Ludhiana city.

And 4:50 pm we reached Ati Chowk, Ludhiana.

Gurdwara Sri Sant Ghat Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi to Ludhiana via Kapurthala city>Jalandhar city travel time by road via private car: 2 hours 50 minutes including a refreshment break of 35 minutes.

If we had followed Google Maps directions i.e, Gurdwara Sri Sant Ghat Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi>Malsian>Nakodar>Phillaur>Ati Chowk, Ludhiana, we maybe have saved approx. 15 minutes.

Anyway, the highway road condition from Gurdwara Sri Sant Ghat Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi to Ludhiana via Kapurthala city>Jalandhar city is excellent and traffic was also minimum. And there were no Toll Plazas.

My cousin’s brother enhanced my knowledge that since Kisan Andolan, Toll Plazas in the entire Punjab are closed.

In short, as per current personal experience from Ludhiana to Sultanpur Lodhi (to-and-fro), you drive via Jalandhar or you follow Google Maps – travel time is not that much different except km distance.
