The train is expected to arrive in one hour. I was hungry, standing near an auto/taxi stand on the west side of Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. Where is a good restaurant? I was thinking, and there only I saw Comesum Cafe 24 hours. We walk inside, watching the chef prepare Biryani. Then, at the counter, a list of impressive menus was displayed. I ordered one vegetarian thali and one non-vegetarian thali. And later, after lunch, we had rasgulla.

In short, a good restaurant at the railway station is always good, especially when one is hungry and has less time to catch the train. While going through their website, I read ‘Now food is on your train seat.’ Fantastic – said I.

Update

Recently I had a deluxe thali and the cost – Rs. 158. And later, Pineapple Pastry for Rs. 51.

Cleanliness and quick service are what I like the most, and the quality of the food.

Update – II

In the year 2014, I was at Ambala Junction. I dial 011-41 100 100 for lunch. Train details and the menu were discussed by the telephone operator. The order was placed to be delivered at the New Delhi railway station upon train arrival. The menu – Egg Curry, Veg. Fried Rice and a Coke can. I received an SMS as confirmation. Upon the arrival of the train at the New Delhi railway station, lunch was served at the berth. It was hot, nicely packed, and prompt service with a bill of Rs. 309.99/-. Very happy I was.
