Yellow-footed Green-Pigeon are commonly seen on fruit trees in Konkan and crests of Western Ghats and also in fruit groves. They feed on fruits, berries, seeds and grains and helps in their dispersal.
They forage in flocks. In early morning they are often seen sunning on the tops of emergent trees in dense forest areas. Considered to be the auspicious bird in Buddhist time.
