African Grey Parrot – This photo was taken at EsselWorld Bird Park in Mumbai (Maharashtra).

Found in: Equatorial Africa, including Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda
Diet: Mostly frugivorous. Also nuts, and seeds
Wingspan: 46-52 cms

Personality: Some call them cute. Some call them loveable. Most people acknowledge them to be highly intelligent. What endears them to all is their ability to mimic human speech. The African Grey Parrot’s life expectancy is 23 years in the wild and 45-50 years in human captivity.
