Sita Charan Chinh (Janki Kund), Chitrakoot Dham

Janki (Sita – daughter of Raja Janak) Kund is situated on the bank of the Mandakini (Payaswini) river.

During the period of her exile, Janki Ji used to bathe here. The rocks nearby bear her footprints.
