Papaya Salad (Som Tum) for Dinner – This photo was taken at the Thai restaurant situated opposite the Thai temple, Bodhgaya. Upon the query, we were told it is a newly opened Thai restaurant in Bodhgaya. The food is prepared by the owner herself who is from Thailand.

We asked them what we should have for dinner that is vegetarian and the staff suggested (the lady doesn’t know English) Thai Papaya Salad also known as Som tum in the Thai language. I requested them not to add chili as I was aware Thai food is spicy.

All I can say it is one of the best restaurants in Bodhgaya Town. One should visit. The cost of Papaya Salad – Rs. 90/-.
