As there was almost a rush around a person I stopped to know what was happening. A man filling cups with lemon tea for tourists. He is Rajkumar selling lemon tea (nimbu chai) for Rs. 5/- only. I requested a cup of tea. The tea was so tasty to my tongue that I requested one more cup. And then I inquired what ingredients he added to prepare such a tasty tea.
Kali Mirch (black pepper), Jeera (cumin), Jal Jeera, and Lavan Bhaskar Churna (Dabur) – He said.
Rajkumar is not the only one. There are a few more selling lemon tea from the early evening hours till the tea container is empty.
Lemon tea has been my favorite since childhood. Nowadays at a few tourist places or tea stalls, I find lemon tea. I don’t know why.
I wish Nimbu Chai was sold inside trains during the journey and at railway stations as well.
