Delhi to Nainital distance is 289 km approx. and was nine hours journey though if there was no traffic jam at Garhmukteshwar because of Ganga Dussehra festival the journey would have been completed in less hours.

6:30 early morning hours we at South Delhi ready inside Toyota Innova and journey towards Nainital following National Highway 24.Â Road condition â€“ Good.
8:45 am we were at Garhmukteshwar â€“ 104 km from South Delhi and a huge traffic jam. Two km distance took about 1:30 hours. Anyway, after another 17 km journey we stop at Meriton on the right hand side of National Highway 24, Gajraula. On the left-hand side is McDonalds. We have traveled about 121 km approx till now and the urge for breakfast. We opt for Meriton.
Idli, dosa, tea and again continuing our journey.
Another 59 km and left-turn as we have to leave National Highway 24. National Highway goes upto Lucknow â€“ Capital of Uttar Pradesh. Finally via Rampur, Bajpur, Uddham Singh Nagar, Kaladhungi we reach Nainital at 3:30 pm.
By evening we were refresh for a walk towards Mall Road, Nainital.
Mall road is a common name and famous among travelers for shopping, leisure walks and happening place. Mall Road is a common name and happening place also at Manali, Shimla.
I was thinking of visiting Pithoragarh also. Upon query at Uttarakhand Parivahan Nigam Bus Station, Nainital yes there is bus to Pithoragarh and distance is 180 km approx.
