How far is Nainital from Delhi by Car?

Nainital from Delhi distance is 289 km approx. and was nine hour’s journey if there had been no traffic jams at Garhmukteshwar because of the Ganga Dussehra festival, the journey would have been completed in fewer hours.

South Delhi > Okhla Railway Station > Anand Vihar Terminal > Simbhawli > Garhmukteshwar > Gajraula > Rampur > Bajpur > Uddham Singh Nagar > Kaladhungi > Nainital

6:30 early morning hours we at South Delhi ready inside Toyota Innova and journey towards Nainital following National Highway 24.  Road condition – Good.

At 8:45 am we were at Garhmukteshwar – 104 km from South Delhi and a huge traffic jam. The two-km distance took about 1:30 hours. Anyway, after another 17 km journey, we stop at Meriton on the right-hand side of National Highway 24, Gajraula. On the left-hand side is Mcdonalds’. We have traveled about 121 km approx till now and have the urge for breakfast. We opt for Hotel Meriton.

Idli, dosa, tea and again continuing our journey.

Another 59 km and a left turn as we have to leave National Highway 24. National Highway goes up to Lucknow – The capital of Uttar Pradesh. Finally, via Rampur, Bajpur, Uddham Singh Nagar, and Kaladhungi we reach Nainital at 3:30 pm.

By evening we were refreshed for a walk towards Mall Road, Nainital.

Mall Road is a common name and is famous among travelers for shopping, leisure walks, and happening place. Mall Road is a common name and a happening place also at Manali, Shimla.

I was thinking of visiting Pithoragarh also. Upon query at Uttarakhand Parivahan Nigam Bus Station, Nainital, yes, there is a bus to Pithoragarh and the distance is 180 km approx.
