Description: The domestic Muscovy duck (Cairina moschata domestica) was a domesticated form of the wild Muscovy duck that originated in South America. Later, these ducks were spread to North America and many other parts of the world and known by different local names. There are 2 standard varieties of Muscovy ducks, the white and the dark. The head and face of the Muscovy are partly bare, with red, rough, carunculated skin. It has a long broad body, with greater breadth.
Diet: Muscovy ducks aren’t picky eaters. They will consume weeds, grasses, and grains in addition to all kinds of insects, reptiles, crustaceans, and amphibians.
Life span: 12 to 18 years.
