All horses stop before the Hemkund Glacier. Two km approx. further journeys to reach Sri Hemkund Sahib can be made via trek/Kandi/Dandi.
Ghangaria received electricity last year – 2012. And most mobile networks do not work but do not worry. There are telephone booths. Phone Call charges per minute in Ghangaria are Rs. 10.

I personally find the trekking path to Ghangaria from Govindghat well maintained and clean, but at the same time, I was sure during the rainy season it is not easy to walk especially at the start of the trek nearby…
